By signing The Climate Pledge, DIGITALL commits to regular reporting, carbon elimination and credible offsets in the pursuit of net-zero carbon by 2040.
Frankfurt, Germany/ Sofia, Bulgaria - March 14, 2022
The technology and business consulting company DIGITALL has joined The Climate Pledge in a commitment to be net-zero carbon by 2040, 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement. As a Pledge signatory, the company agrees to pursue carbon-reduction activities including regular reporting, carbon elimination and credible offsets. By signing the commitment, DIGITALL joins 300+ other businesses that are taking collective action to combat climate change and build a low-carbon economy.
The Climate Pledge forms a cross-sector community of organizations, working together to crack the climate crisis and solve the challenges of decarbonizing our economy by 2040.
DIGITALL, along with all other companies and organizations that sign the Pledge, commits to three areas of action:
“DIGITALL is proud to have signed The Climate Pledge and stand with Amazon, Global Optimism and all other Pledge signatories on the journey to decarbonization. It is our collective responsibility to take proactive measures and combat the climate crisis. As part of our commitment to the Pledge, we have already implemented ecologically sustainable corporate standards and are now planning further operational changes,” said Ivaylo Slavov, CEO of DIGITALL.
The company has already defined its first steps on the way to becoming net-zero carbon. As a signatory of the Pledge, DIGITALL will reduce the consumption of energy, water, waste and paper in all its offices as well as reduce and green up its fleet. It has already started reducing business travel and commuting unless necessary followed by carbon offsetting. DIGITALL is also planning to switch to 100% corporate renewable energy purchasing for its offices where possible.
“The effects of climate change are becoming more and more apparent in our surroundings and daily lives, and we firmly believe that the private sector must continue to innovate and collaborate across regions and industries in order to decarbonize the global economy at scale,” said Andy Jassy, Amazon CEO. “It’s an encouraging sign that more than 300 businesses have now signed The Climate Pledge, which commits them to confronting climate change head-on by incorporating real business changes that will make a lasting impact on our planet. We can only do it together.”
